- Birth place- Kannammoola (Kollam)
- Born on- 25th August 1853
- Father- Vasudevan
- Mother – Nangamma Pillai
- He was a Nair reformist
- Real name – Ayyappan
- Childhood Name(nick name)- Kunjan Pillai
- Spritual name- Shanmukhadasan( given by Thycaud Ayya)
- Also known as ‘ sarvavidyadirajan’
